So, this weekend was friggin awesome. I was so proud. My friends drove from Vegas, made it to Zion, and camped out for a night. The first day we made it to Emerals Pools.
The hike was a moderate one, lasted about three hours total, and that's because we took the scenic way back. As if it wasnt scenic already :P
The next morning, we packed up, got everything in the car, and parked at the Visitor Center as we headed for Angel Falls. Now...this was the big hike. 5 hours, from start to finish you're going up about 1800ft. Let's just say it's not for anyone fearful of heights, or narrow climbs. Towards the top they even had chains to help you up. At the end though, the view was totally worth it. The weather was beautiful.

The trip itself was wonderful. It's nice to get out of town and get back to basics. A lot of positive energy on this trip, not to mention all the cool people I met on the way. I smile
