I would have to say, that it depends on how it is cooked. Really. What is put on it. Next time you want to have a slab, just sprinkle it with kosher salt, and wither throw it on a grill or in a skillet.

sort of like turkey is a delivery system for cranberry sauce. Meat has little flavor but when seasoned properly does take on a different characteristic. Try injecting it as prime rib is a huge chunk of meat and that is the only way to flavor and accent the beef..

I am talking the actual prime rib. I.E. that is the whole rib roast that is generally slowcooked in an oven. They then slice it to order.

When it is precut into slabs then it is called a ribeye steak and those are fucking great.

We used to cook it rare then cut the leftovers into thick steaks, blacken them and warm them in a red hot skillet.

PS: Make some hollandaise with a little tomato paste in it for the sauce. Yum yum.

when cooked corectly prime rib is excellent - problem is most people havent eaten a properly prepared prime rib because most restuarants dont prepare it correctly.

if ever in L.A. check out mortons is beverly hills.
