Interesting read. I was watching a show on Discovery about Jack The Ripper a few weeks ago. What a sick fuck.

They believe that he was the doctor to the queen. At least thats what the show on Discovery I saw said.

But that was a few years ago.

One of the theories is that he was an American named Francis Tumblety. I have read that this is the theory that holds the most weight. His body is in a cemetery here in Rochester.

They have no idea who it is. There have been a few people mentioned, but we will never know. I saw a show that said it was a man of royalty.

There are so many different suspects and theories. I read a book by Patricia Cornwell a few years ago that made a good case that Jack the Ripper was Walter Sickert.

Well this guy was a sick fuck. Also pimp( so he had knowledge of prostitutes ) and was in the area at the time of the murders. Shortly thereafter left and spent 10 years in Sing Sing prison and guess what the murders stopped. Probably coincidence.

Same thing happened to another suspect that was royalty. He picked up prostitutes all the time and they said he did some strange things. He was committed to a mental hospital around the time the killings stopped. So he could just as easily be the killer. I am sure there are a lot of people that fit the profile, no one will ever know who it was. People will just keep on guessing.

saw a small part of some jack the ripper documentary and their theory was it was a simple poor working class guy, but because it was such a big case everyone wanted to think it was someone from royalty or someone rich... guess thats what the 'tabloids' back then hoped for...

Anyway thought id share this, but i really dont give a shit to be honest... why is this such a big deal? Just another serial killer

When I first moved to the UK I would go to these club nights that were in the Whitechapel area of London. One night I left around 1am and went to go wait for the night bus to take me home. I knew I was doing a really dumb thing because I was a woman on my own and there wasn't anybody else around. Then I heard something move in a doorway behind me and started to get really jumpy. I look up and I am right across the street from the 'Jack The Ripper Walking Tours' company office. Suddenly, I remembered why I had heard of Whitechapel before. I was really glad when the bus came!
