StuartD told me (and he said AaronM didn't ask him to either), that since there was no full release, AaronM doesn't owe you the $5, since you agreed to finish the job before being paid.
Plus there was a lot of wear and tear and stuff. I can post pictures later if I need to...
AaronM was only 95% finished when you stopped. Now, if you want to start from scratch he's willing to give you another chance, but he is not paying you for the work you already did.

I would be more afraid to be the dude owing and avoiding Aaron. Being a deadbeat for over a year is not cool, and $7k is a good chunk of change. He should at least make installment payment arrangements.
I do find it a little odd that Aaron outted DH on behalf of Stuart, but won't say who is ripping himself off, even though it might be of benefit to other GFYers that may get similarly taken by the same person.
