To "not do single player" with Q4 is missing the point. It's a sequel to Q2, the single player game is more along the lines of HL2 in terms of quality. ID developed it primarily as a single player game (from what they said at quakecon), if you look at the video previews it's easy to see that. It's not out here until the 21st.

The weapons are rockin. Graphics are well done. Maps are tight and chaotic. Finally an FPS that makes you forget to blink, it's been a while. I gotta kick my BF2 habits now, that shit'll get you killed in a real first person shooter

wow great to hear!! i was thinking it was going to be like a repackaged version of doom3, but im happy to hear that online play is fun as thats going to be the part of the game to keep me playing.

doom3 of course was DIRE online..

nothing like as fun as q3a/ut2004

unfortunately for me it doesnt come out until friday in the uk

might go look on the newsgroups while i wait for my copy to arrive!
