I am good highschool friends with the owner of Patmont Moterworks (Go-Ped) of Livermore, CA.
This video is totally fake.. very funny, but fake...
I had a go-ped that was pretty souped up, and it was capable of reaching about 45mph, and that was as fast as most would go.. the fastest I've EVER heard of a Go-Ped going is 60mph.. and at that rate of speed it is very dangerous, I will tell you the main reason.
The tires on a go-ped are pneumatic rubber, driven by a spindel that applies friction to the tire. When the speed of the ped reaches a certain point the tire will expand and come off of the rim. thus causing a gnarly accident.

LOL.. go-peds are/were pretty popular for a while at nascar events.. they use them to get around from place to place in the motor city area.. I loved my go-ped, I had the second orange x-ped ever made, It was a custom color, made especially for Spy Sunglasses, I paid dick for it and I eventually sold it on ebay for about $500 more than what I paid for it..
The kid in San Jose, CA who bought it loved it and emailed me and let me know that all the kids were jocking him hella hard..

By the finish line I was pretty far ahead of him, and I was pulling a wheely the whole end of the race.. lol

I still have a know-ped, it's the kind without a motor, (kids used them to learn how to ride before getting a motorized one) I use it to tool around the neighborhood to get down the block when I don't want to walk..I'm here for the violence!Comment
