                  So much for 'perspective'...

I wonder if the commentor supports the notion that politicians and civil servants found guilty of any crime should 'get the chair'?

"Deborah Combs owed the city of Loveland $1.16 last year, but she also hadn't filed her city income tax forms in five years, the television station said."

they're focusing on the $1 but she didn't file in over 5yrs... it's more of a catchy news title if you say arrested over $1 rather than Arrested for not filing in the past 5yrs

she has paid every year for those five years.. she just didn't file the forms...

here in Canada if the amount is under $2, you don't have to pay and you won't be paid either

That is true in Canada, you have up to 5 years to file your taxes, but only if you don't owe anything to them or you have a refund coming.

It's called a courtesy filing. Just like whores have to notify their pimp when their out on the rag. Sorry to use the analogy but that's what the US government is doing to us the taxpayers--straight pimpin!

It'a amazing how much power they have and how much they know. Anything with SS # = on radar screen. Even on audits, accounts just bearing your name = fair game.

                                                      thats so stupid

                                                      all that over $1.16

                                                      Often times I wonder why
There's love and hate, theres live or die.
When sickness comes I must decide:
                                                      When feelings go, theres suicide.
