lord of war . was a good movie that people should check out

alot of hollywood mainstream movies stink....I think the worst one i saw recently was transporter 2, probably the worst thing to hit theatres

Most of you know nothing about this era but a movie that has OSCAR written all over it is the new B/W "Good Night and Good Luck." It's the story of newsman Edward R. Murrow taking on the Jr. Senator from Wisconsin, Joseph McCarthy, during the 1950s "red witch hunt." This is an "archive" movie, for sure!

They don't think p2p trading of movies is hurting their revenue enough. Until they get everyone to stop going to the theaters they won't stop proactively making everything suck horribly.

They've picked up on the music industry's marketing design. Doesn't matter what you peddle, just peddle it like fucking crazy. People today will buy virtually any crap the media tells them too.

Only thing I'm looking forward to is the next pixar flick...they're the only movies still worth going to see in the theaters.

"Wedding crashers" - is not bad

"40 yo virgin" - really funny in some places and not stupid

"Revolver" - nice movie, I liked it...

"Dark water" - total shit waste of time and money

I'm reading "The Chronicals of Narnia" now... hope to finish before the movie appears on the screens... The book is very interesting, though it's a tale I just wonder how it will be shooted (staged) and so on... and whether my imagination differs from what I will see on the screen....

What sucks is that even though the War of the Worlds was some cheesy Hollywood remake everyone still gave them their money, including me :/. I was warned against it being shit, but I fell into the hype they managed to build up pre-release and saw it anyway. Guess they don't really give a shit about the content anymore, fools like us still hand over our $10 anyway ... so long as a big name actor is starring of course, lol.

And by the way, I've got an FTP server, from where I usually download movies... The system of this FTP allows users to estimate movies - very helpful feature.

I read the description of the film, then I look at its score and watch it if the score is more than 4,30.... 4.80 movies are great

Could you imagine a GFY rating for movies? That could be cool! Although, I'm not so sure I would trust the GFY public for movie opinions.

Rottentomatoes.com takes a bit to adjust to the ratings. I have seen movies with very high "fresh" ratings, but they weren't super, superior movies, they were just universally liked.

You should look up ratings on movies that you really like and you can really get a feel for the rating system. I LOVE ROTTENTOMATOES.COM!!!
