Cash is something you can actually listen to now and still have it seem relevant today. Listening to Elvis is more like taking a step back in time... you seem to know you are listening to oldies.
I guess that is in part due to the fact he was still releasing new music as late as last year, even after he died, but even his old stuff still seems more listenable than anything Elvis ever did.Comment

He could take any song and make it his own...look at his covers: Sunday Morning Coming Down, Hurt, even A Boy Named Sue and he made them his own.
