What does it take to be lucrative in the freesite game nowadays?

I've just been kinda pondering this lately and I'm curious what everyone has to say about it.

Let's say someone was to start from scratch today and create freesites for a living.

How many freesites do you think they would need to create and submit to start making a decent living? Or are freesites just not enough?

How long do you think it'd take them to start making decent money if they submitted 1 freesite a day, everyday? 1 month, 2 month, 1 year? And what would you consider decent money (being modest)?

Also, would you do movie or picture freesites?

btw: let's just say the cost of bandwidth is not factored in and the person is also already skilled at making/submitting freesites and adult marketing.

basically...if you lost all of your websites today and had to start creating and submitting tomorrow.

bump...c'mon guys...let's say someone did 2 freesites every day for 3 months...would they be making enough money by then for it to be worthwhile to continue?

The free site thing is still lucrative, if done right... Nothing crazy, but decent money... Also make sure your sponsors are unique.

no one would list hosted free sites...i hate it when people spam irrelevent stuff.

anyhow, im wondering the same thing as you. from the look of the answers it doesn't look too great.

i don't see how you could submit 5 free sites a day when all the major linklists only allow one per day tho.

you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..

Depends on many variables, for example if over time the site owners like your work and decide to give you a partner account,etc.. Also if you are going to buy into paid spots, the sponsor you use, how you market it, the niche,etc..etc..etc...etc.. ;)

The truth is, its hard nowadays for a new person to be get into iether the freesite or tgp game and get rich, you can make good money but for that you will have to invest ;)

Here is some honest input . . .

First to make it clear the freesites I am referring to are the 4 page wonders that get submitted daily to us at Jays XXX Links.

I would say a decent goal is to make 2 sales per freesite you make. Reason being is that you will probably make a sale right off the rip being listed at the top of all the linklists. However that is about all you will get in the first couple of weeks. Once the SE's pick up your site and you have a good hub structure you can begin filtering out that traffic and sending back to your freesite network and yank another sale.

Without going into too much detail because so many have before that is my answer. 2 per freesite made based on an average of all your standard variables (saturation, not getting listed, etc etc)

i been in the free site game for 5 years kind of best to get as many out there as you can ...
prob around 100 at start will get you some small cash monthly...
but after few months all you have to get is one join a month off 100 sites thats not to hard ...

times that by 3 and your on the way to a good little income that last for years ...i still have sites out there 4 years old making sales ...untouched
but i have moved on to other areas now ...free sites still do ok
