New Tattoo Work: ( PICS)

Had some more Tattoo work done yesterday. It's going to be the bottom of my sleeve. I had the star and some flames already but just brought it around the wrist. the area between the flames and the ghost flames will stay skin and the background will go up from there... I know not everyone likes tatts but this is for the guys that do. I go in next week to get the tribal reworked on my shoulder then we start the background ...

I've had tatts for about 11 years .. but i really decided to do the entire arm at the Miami show after talking to Jonsey for awhile ... I wanted it done before then but just never did it ... I've been going about every 2 weeks since i got back to get work done .. about 4 hours each time .. yesterday was only 2 hours ..

i want mine, but first i need a good concept drawing and i am leery about jsut showing up to a tattoo shop and letting some hack work on my body. i want a shoulder piece of the upper tonearm assembly of a technics 1200 turntable. maybe i will have to go up and hang with you guys for a weekend and get it done by your guy.

if you come up ..i'll bring you over .. it's a girl that works on me and i like it much better then when guys work on me .. girls have more patients and seem to be gentle with the gun ..guys seem to dig it in and rush .. her work heals faster then any other Tattoo work I've had done ... don't get me wrong .. it hurts the same but it seems that the guys that work on me move the gun faster and over the same spot more .. she seems to have a nice steady pace and doesn't dig into the same spot over and over .. she was an art teacher before this and dealt with kids so she has patients and takes her time ... I would prefer to do like 5-8 hour runs because once they start the pain drops down but she's been working on me in trade for the site I'm doing for her and hosting. so we work from 12-4pm then the owner comes in ... the Koi was about 5 hours .. that seems to work for me .. 10 hours is tough just because your sitting in the chair so long .. i get stiff

ya .. since august I've had 3 new pieces ... one full cover up (makes 4) the outline for the tribal cover up done ( I go on Monday to start the color ) and the dice re-colored on my left arm ..

so 6 sittings so far ..about 3-4 to go before the arm is done ... I hope to have it done by the LA show ..

I hear ya, Rob Couts the guy that as been doing my back is a true artist as well. Feels like lill kittens licking ya ;-)

The reason I am doing 10 hours is cause Rob is booked 2 months in advance (Hit me up one day i'll show you some of his work) And I am only in Toronto for couple of days. He's doing the back and I am laying down on my stomach and watch DVD's, Read or chat with him.

she already did the outline for it .. we are just covering it up with something bigger that is more my style .. the old one is an off the wall band ..this one is freehand and wraps up on my shoulder and under my arm pit ... I'll try to get some pics .. let me know if your friend needs her #

Nice...I have quite a few myself. Sleeves such and if you are getting into some large tribal, good luck. I sat for 30 hours for my tribal sleeve and it was worth it, but damn. Overall i am pretty close to 150-160 hours total.

at first i was into black and white ... but when i decided to do the sleeve i wanted it to have some color. these are all very new and will mellow out a bit with time plus the entire background will be black and white and the tribal on top is big and black (like juicy likes his men) .. i didn't want a big black arm so i broke it up with the main pieces being color ..
