TGP:s selling partneraccount - Why do you share the profits with another company?????

How come so many TGP:s use another company to sell partneraccounts and gallery placements? I can understand thehun since he sells lots of placements and its a lot of work. But thats the only TGP I can understand at the moment.

Why do you use a company to sell the partneraccounts??? Why not set up a page yourself and keep all the money (- a small processing fee). Example: worldsex

I never buy from anyone else but the TGP owner themself, but some TGP:s only have their partneraccounts available via a middle company. Im pretty sure I have read about other people acting just like myself regarding this.

So if you sell your partner accounts yourself you will keep all the money + more people will signup = even more money.

They don't want to worry about taking the time to sell them so they can work harder on other things like getting more traffic and building new sites.

Also more work. It's not just like getting paid and doing nothing else, there's a lot of customer service that goes with that job.

If I had a huge TGP I'd farm out the advertising too instead of sitting there babysitting a signup form and doing CS.

Partner accounts doesn't need any marketing. People buying them will find the TGP without any marketing at all.

Setting up a payment gateway should take a few minutes after they have signed up with a processor. Adding/deleting partners would be possible with an easy script.

Answering support emails from the partners = a few mins of work every other day.

I have a large amount of partner accounts and I can't even remember the last time I asked for support. What should I ask? If their script works and they review the gallerys and list them according to the agreement?

Seems like you have the formula down pat...you should open your own tgp and start selling partner accounts

As mentioned already, people are willing to forgo some income in exchange for someone else to fully manage their partner account and sales. Not to mention having a broker manage your sales like this could actually help increase it since they could sell a partner account to a frequent customer looking to expand into more sites. It actually makes more sense to me as a small TGP to do this rather than the large boys, especially if the cut is based on a percentage instead of flat out fee.

Becuase their time is worth ALLOT more that the small fees we charge.

They dont have to worry about:

Payment methods (we offer 5, including a merchant account)
deling with clients
dealing with chargebacks
dealing with renews
dealing with customer service

All they have to deal with is entering the users. I could go on for ever, but im sure you get the point

This argument is similar to when people say "If a TGP's traffic is worth so much why do they sell the top spots prepaid when they could keep it for themselves?"

The answer to that one is the same as the answer to this one. TIME.
There are only so many hours in a day and a TGP owners time is best spent on what they do best, generating and maintaining traffic to their sites.

Most sites, especially bigger sites, really do not have a problem finding enough good submitters to fill their listings with a good variety of galleries every day. Despite all the cheaters, there are plenty of honest submitters who make good galleries and the site owners are well aware of who they are. They could just list those people and not have a problem with cheaters. Many sites do just that.

But people like to make revenue from their own traffic as well of course.

FHG's might be unreliable for them if their traffic doesn't convert as well as they'd like it to. But partner pass money is guaranteed every month.

So if they can get guaranteed money every month without having to be concerned about traffic quality OR dealing with clients in any way shape or form, they'd be foolish not to use these types of services.

there is no doubt that through them i sell twice as many (if not more) than i would on my own. personally, the joy of not fielding submitters questions and partner requests alone is worth the %
