Some of the "boosters" can cause problems with modern computer controlled injection systems. And they tend not to "sit well" unless it's on a daily driver. Many of the additives I have seen (and tested!) tend to separate after the car sits for even 24-hours. I've seen a few of the booster additives get pretty corrosive to sensors and typical fuel line setups on recent cars.
