Tax Group Says N.H. Tax Burden Among Lowest In Country

CONCORD, N.H. -- A new study said New Hampshire residents face the second lowest state and local taxes in the country, behind only Alaska, which pays its residents dividends from oil revenue.

New Hampshire ranks 49th for the fourth year in a row, according to the study from the Tax Foundation. The nonpartisan research group said New Hampshire residents pay 8 percent of their income in taxes.

The group reported that nationwide, Americans paid 11 percent of their incomes in state and local taxes last year.

According to the study, Vermont had the nation's highest total state and local tax burden, at 14.1 percent of residents' income. Maine was second, at 14 percent.

I grew up in Vermont and we had the greatest state until 12 Years of that dick head Howard Dean. Him and his special interest asshole mother fuckers, really fucked up our state. We would have been screwed like you cant even imagine if Howard Dean becomes president.
