I saw CNN or something news channel the other day talking about the Virginia gunman and they were saying the law does not allow you to lock up people with mental problems unless they are a danger to themselves or others. The inferance being that this is a weakness in the law and if you could detain anyone with mental problems things like this wouldn't have happenned!

I was thinking maybe it would be a better idea to just not let people with mental health problems have access to firearms?
