DVD disc can't be detected by my pc DVD player.. What could be the problem?

So I have 4 DVD-R of the same brand.. 3 can read/detected by my pc dvd player(hardware) except one.. However, that one can read by my regular DVD player/TV.. Anyone knows what could be the problem?

    Thanks

Make sure its connected to the Motherboard and the Power Supplier
And that its set in the right position (master / slave / cs)

I had a similar problem where my main computer wouldn't recognize a whole series of dvds, but they played fine on my laptop (older) and my regular dvd player. I really can't say what the problem was...my main computer wouldn't even view the contents as data in explorer, but it doesn't have any problem with other dvds (+r or -r). I have noticed it seems to be getting pickier with dust and scratches, so maybe that has something to do with it.

you are missing a codec to detect and play the oddball dvd.

If the DVD is copyright protected it might stop a computer using it to halt the risk of copying.
