As far as where I got that statement, it's my own... having taken roughly a dozen political science and history courses, Americanism and Western/Human/Evolutionary History are all hobby subjects of mine.... maybe not as favored as biology, astronomy, zymurgy, or mathematics... but they rank up there in my interests.
I'm not arguing what countries better than what countries or which has more freedoms or what the root causes of violence in our society is or whatever... I don't feel I'm really qualified to. Those are matters that you seem to be stuck on.
But I do feel I'm qualified to say that for the last 50,000 years, the human (or human civilization) with the biggest stick has defined what "freedom" is.
And I do feel I'm in a place to say what the Founding Fathers of the U.S.'s intent was when they secured the Second Amendment to ensure that the citizenry of the U.S. would be in a place to protect their individual freedoms and liberties in the future - from enemies foreign and domestic.
And that's really all I've said on the matter, I think.
Where you get your slanders from that is beyond me.
