ok now that i got your attention i want to ask :

why does it seem that only a few people her on gfy care about what happened in pakistan.

40 000 people died and the number is steadily growing...

and gfy is absolut normal.

after the two planes crashed into the towers gfy only had one topic.
is it just because of the distance between where we live and where the earthquake happened ?

when hurrican kathrina hit the usa most of the people here on gfy seemed to be sad but now ?

but anyways, i think the reason its not all over gfy is that there have been so many horrible things happen back to back, and the obscenity bullshit.. the 2257 bullshit... the war in iraq... the tsunami... hurricane katrina... that people are just tired of hearing about the shit...

Why do so many people care about so few things? The starving people across the world, etc etc that die each day are far more than the people who died in the Pakistani quake. But in any event, I doubt Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, etc would carry it on the news much if such a quake happened in Australia. They might if it happened in America (since the USA is a huge superpower that so many of them have an interest in), but not if it happened in other parts of the west I wouldn't think.

Because most of us don't know anyone in Pakistan so while it's a very bad situation over there. It doesn't affect many of us, so we aren't going to dwell on it like say some disaster that happened in one of our own countries.

If two planes ran into towers in pakistan or most other countries you'd be lucky if it made news headlines on CNN during a football game. Because it happened to USA - its suppose to be world news.
