To whom was msging me about it when I was sleeping, yes, you can link to the toplist with just a plain vanilla text link like this (the button isn't mandatory):

No ref. code needed, it gets your URL from the surfer's referrer HTTP header.

BTW, please note though that if you leave the button out completely, the toplist can't track your pageviews. Although by default it doesn't sort the list by pageviews, the user can pick this option, and in that case your site would be at the bottom. So might be better to just set it's size to 0,0 with CSS. Something like this:

If you use

style="visibility: hidden;"

I think some browsers don't load it at all, which will also result in the pageviews not getting counted.

Sooo basically we're all better off, if you just use the button. ;)
