Based on discussions with victims’ families and county medical examiners, RID estimates as many as 4,000 deaths occur each year from alcohol overdosing: drinking too much alcohol too fast. Families learn, in the most difficult way, that alcohol can be a lethal drug.
so if even half those are college kids then my stat was correct ..
Dying from alc poisoning or taking your own life can hardly be compared to someone blowing your brains out against your own will. Hence, I sure hope nobody will start talking shit about gun control in here.

I can agree with you there, that's a good point.
- Tons of gun stuff has been on tv that last couple days because of this, even if guns happened to get banned, which they won't it would prevent school shootings. Kids would still find away to get them and do what they want with them. It's like the same things with drugs, yes they are 'banned' or illegal, but if you want them, you still can get them, and that would be the same for guns.
But your correct, dieing for alc, cannot be compared to having your brains blown out by a raging physco

The number seemed unbelievably very high to me as well. That's why I researched it before I replied to your post.
That 35 per week figure includes all alcohol related deaths, including car accidents and suicides, etc etc....
If 35 college students were dying each week from Alcohol Poisoning, trust me, you would have heard about it before now.
bwahaha no it doesnt . your full of shit..
1000 college kids commit suicide alone each week
did you read above 4000 people die from ALCOHOL poisoning PER YEAR
do the math thats over 75 per week half of those are college kids

Dude, You need to get a grip on reality:
1,400 college students between the ages of 18 and 24 die each year from alcohol-related unintentional injuries, including motor vehicle crashes;
1,400 college students between the ages of 18 and 24 who die from alcohol-related incidents each year, according to the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
