In the mainstream world the answer is YES. However only yes for the larger companies I've been with. Worked for a few Fortune 500 places and many have written policies (Still!!!) that could cost you your job for doing so. In a smaller company I'd do a LOT of soul searching before fishing off the company pier.

I had the worst-case scenario so I'm very biased!
But if you are going to proceed I'd advise you to:

1) Keep *everything* out of the office. No internal phone calls, e-mails or "encounters" anywhere near the office itself.

2) Consider that one of the three things will eventually happen. One of you will leave the company (good, especially if it's over), you'll break up with her (not good, esp. for her), she'll dump you (very bad). The last two obviously means you are going to face each other pretty much every day after it's over. This is not easy.

Also, are you planning on keeping it secret from other workers? If so, they'll find out. Not good. If you plan on telling them (or not hiding it) then better, but they will still gossip about it constantly and when/if things break off ... they all know ... and why ...

On the upside? If you ignore #1 sex can be pretty damn amazing in an office

I never Worked in Corperate America. But when i was in the Hospitality industry of course. they are the only people you see, And i married mine!

Just remember to Keep both Seperate or it can get messy
