Don't you understand? It's all about the registration date. Sure, everyone is able to do a lot of posts, but not everyone is able to register in 2001. 2001 = teh elite. 2002 and older = teh newbie.
it just shows me who spends the most time posting on this and other boards all day long. The ones with the craziest post counts in the shortest amount of time are normally people I don't have interest in doing business with anyway. More or less because the boards and chatting is the only affiliation they have with the industry.
The only exception to this is those that are purposely hired by the bigger companies to purposely get into the communities and be visible on behalf of their companies.
My post count actually sucks for the length of time I have been registered on the board, but if you look around I don't waste time on the boards. I am in this business and online to make money. I spend my real life offline with real people at real places, not online like some do.
For some gfy is a lifestyle as noted above. That is sad to think that there are actually people that live to wakeup in the morning just to spend all day long on gfy and/or other boards and chats.
To me, post counts it just that, a reflection of how much time you spent interacting in a community. It might build your own personal ego and impress others that have no clue, but at the end of the day it doesn't mean shit.

Exactly..I actually post maybe 50 times a day..in the end it means I just spend alot of time here

LOL
I've registered in 2004 or something - lots of people lurk for a few years before they register.
Postcount means nothing to me - I couldn't care less if they put me on 0 posts right now.

I've seen a LOT of dumbass "elite" individuals over the years.
postcount = number of people that will stop you in vegas and say how well they know you and fallow your posts
I always had found that to be funny too....because I always seem to meet the biggest weakest ass whimps at the shows thinking from their online persona that they were built like my good friend BT. It is always funny to meet the real geek behind the big badass screenname. lol.
post count means nothing.
Pageviews is what is worth $$
IE: Juicy posts some shit and because hes Juicy it gets views.
Its all about name recognition and branding.

Aren't you a skinny dude?
Well, at least you looked it years ago when I saw your pic on 69spot. Funny the things you remember. Looks like you've grown
Postcount is everything. I only do business with the GFY elites who have over 30,000 posts. Why would I waste my time dealing with real people and real companies who waste their time making money instead of posting on a message board? Fuck that.
It's funny on how people make judgements and assume shit all because of some numbers under some user name.
Uhm... people make judgements and assume everything no matter what you do or who you are. Small minded people talk about people. Every moron that has called me a fake nick is a prime example of this.
It means absolutely nothing to me. Some people on GFY make it seem important, but it's not. The only ones that worry about post count are those that have way too much time on their hands....

Funny you mention that.
I'll meet someone at a show and they'll say "I really enjoy your posts, they're great!" I never know how to respond to that. People enjoy my posts? WTF? I am more than a post for Saint Pete's sake!
I don't take stock in post count. Some of my favorite people have all 50 posts on every board combined.
