4/13/2007 Free Speech Takes Next Step in the 2257 Case
April 13, 2007 - On Friday, April 13, 2007, the Free Speech Coalition filed a motion with Colorado Federal District Court Judge Walker Miller seeking clarification and modification of his recent order. ?This filing is in response to Judge Miller?s interim decision issued March 30, 2007,? explained Reed Lee, FSC Board member and President of the First Amendment Lawyers Association.

Canoga Park, Calif. - When HotMovies.com last month began to marshal adult studios to participate in Freedom Streams '07, its second annual fund-raising event to benefit The Free Speech Coalition?s (FSC) ongoing fight against governmental restrictions on the adult industry, they hoped for an even better response than they received for the inaugural version a year ago. So far, so good.
4/3/2007 Judge Miller Issues Interim Decision on 2257
April 3, 2007 - Canoga Park, CA - On Friday March 30th, Colorado Federal District Court Judge Walker Miller issued an interim ruling dismissing some causes of action and allowing others to proceed in light of the Adam Walsh Act amendments to 18 U.S.C. ? 2257 signed into law on July 27, 2006.
3/30/2007 ICM PROPOSAL FOR .XXX DENIED
March 30, 2007 - In a decision made Friday March 30th at the ICANN board meeting, the board voted 9 to 5 to reject ICM?s proposal for a .XXX top level domain. This appears to be the final decision by ICANN as Board Chair Vinton Cerf said that they would not consider another proposal for a .XXX top level domain.
