I'm not trying to argue the point... just relay the state of the situation.
The internet abounds with folks that are quick to believe whatever they read or hear just because someone else says it, and they happen to like the stance for one reason or another.
Try cracking a book sometime... perhaps even read some peer-reviewed articles, and figure it out for yourself.
