                                            I was even told by Perrins himself a day or two before he disappeared that I would be provided with some of the smaller fringe sites so to try and address the debt. I told this to the new owner of the sites but he clearly wasn`t interested in doing the decent thing and working with me.

                                            I have to feel for some of the other traffic providers who were knocked for far more than me.

                                                                                                                I don't disagree with your conclusion, although I think your reasoning is wrong. Banner clicks - not only in the adult world - were in the toilet long before thumb-preview TGP's appeared.

                                                                                                                Two things have really killed the value of TGP traffic. The first is the nature of TGP's (any type of free site for that matter), which is that any decent free site with a fair amount of surfer appeal must attract more and more bookmarkers as time goes by. The argument that some of these come back and buy again later may be valid up to a point, but reasonably it applies to a small minority. Most bookmarkers, which many sites have had 5+ years to accumulate, must inevitably be confirmed freeloaders.

                                                                                                                But perhaps the biggest impact has been the introduction of bought traffic: a consequence of everyone and his brother wanting a TGP with 100K+ visitors a day. As a result a large proportion of the TGP traffic pool these days is near worthless traffic, much of it from countries that are unacceptable to the card processors, even if the surfers want to spend money.

                                                                                                                                                            i make sales with hosted galleries listed my tgps , none of them have more than 2500 hits per day . and i do not sell gallery spots. its not huge but a 3 - 5 a week by TGP is enough, i don't count on it as a money making part of my biz , it just pays the cigarettes. but if i was not as lazy and developed the traffic i guess it would bring decent income monthly.

I myself for example ONLY send traffic to hosted galleries and so far this year my overall ratio is 1:1335 with 11,034 total sales and 7,840 rebills.

I myself for example ONLY send traffic to hosted galleries and so far this year my overall ratio is 1:1335 with 11,034 total sales and 7,840 rebills.

                                                                                                                                                                                                hosted galleries rocks if you know what to do with them, i even made crazy sales with FHGs on 404 pages . a ratio of 1:157 average on extremepaychecks FHGs last year, only with 404. just had a listing of all their FHGs per category as a 404 page .
