    Does anyone advertise in print media?

    Hey guys/girls:

    fairly new to adult webmaster forum here .

    I just wanted to know if anyone advertises their affiliate sites in the newspaper classified sections. I was thinking of trying it out, but if anyone here has done it or currently does it, just want to know if it would be a lucrative venture. It would be for adult dating and web cams.

      I've advertised using late night radio spots which are low cost, useless don't bother.

      Print ads rendered some adults - plenty of alternative newspapers have an adult section right by the escorts area. I can't say it will pay for itself, but i've gotten maybe a 40% return on my money in sales by using a subdomain like nameofnewspapers.amateurcanada.com so you can potentially track sales.

      Also, alot of adult help wanted frequenters will see your site and apply to model haha :D

          Print media is hard to get a return from. It's most effective for branding.

                      its like news print!!

                      i know a lap dancer who hands out business like cards at parties/events that she holds. also an escort who leaves the cards with her punters.

                      on average per 500 cards distributed i recieve approx 40 sales from 100 (ish) hits
                      as the cards are free this is cheap advertising

                      it works for me
                      use your immagination im shure there are plenty of niche opportunities in print advertising that need discovering.

                          We advertise in 40 different magazines each month..... but it is all about the brand.

                          Adult products and services are hard to get into mainstream media (you end up with lots of sites to suit the different mags)

                          Anything seriously adult really only works in adult oriented newspapers (village voice, etc)

                          Good luck with whatever you choose!
