I wouldn't go that far, but I do agree because its freedom of speach. If one person can do something, then the rest can also. But some would make this a racial issueWhat a fucking witch hunt, fucking n*ggersComment

Incredible. I suppose freedom of speech is only free so long as you don't offend anybody.
Granted, what he said was crass and inappropriate, but I hardly see it as being more than a flippant comment by an asshole.
Then again, I don't take everything to heart, my ego isn't that shallow.Comment

That's fucking insane.
It reminds me of the recent Big Bro over here in the UK, where certain comments made by the white people were all over the newspapers and tv, yet the "white trash" comments made back at them in the house went apparently unnoticed...Comment

If the XM and Sirius merger doesn't go through I'd look for him to land on XM. He is close with Opie from The Opie and Anthony Show and they need to fill out their channel some more (they were supposed to get a second channel eventually).Comment

People confuse the constitutional right of "Freedom of Speech" with employers being able to fire you for wiping your ass the wrong way. You aren't protected from someone firing you for saying something by the constitution, you're protected from the government passing laws against your right to free speech.
That said, I think it's weak they fired him.Comment

THEY DID NOT FIRE HIM. MSNBC CANNED THE SHOW THAT THEY SIMULCAST EVERY MORNING ON THEIR CABLE NEWS NETWORK. CAN YOU READ THIS?People confuse the constitutional right of "Freedom of Speech" with employers being able to fire you for wiping your ass the wrong way. What are you the fucking n*gger patrol? Is there any doubt he will be completely fired? There are nearly riots over this bullshit.Comment

I didn't say most likely he wouldn't. People are not speaking fact here and misquoting stories in the news. Was Don Imus' show taken off the air for good Mr. Fuckhead at this point? Or was he just canned from the simulcast at MSNBC. You tell me shit for fucking brains.Comment

Dude its from the South Park episode... NAGGERS.
Now we know why you replaced * with the letter "i"
Because YOU are the racist one dumbass.Comment

And I am not nigger patrol. I could care fucking less what he said. In fact I agree with him. They are a bunch of scary nappy looking crackhead, single mother, on food stamps looking hos.Comment

Who fucking cares the "details" of this witch hunt. The man is being fucking destroyed for saying "nappy headed hos".I didn't say most likely he wouldn't. The fact that he is being persecuted like this just goes to show there is an active campaign to censor ANY WHITE MALE who would say anything remotely insensitive.Comment

Yet another situation where it gets to totally cutting freedom of speech. So what, his comment was offensive. It's obviously "ok" when one black person calls another black person a "fucking black piece of black shit ho", but when a white guy comes out a bit against the taste buds of the black community it's a public outcry? Give me a fucking break. Same goes for any race when it's about slurs against white people,...it's all ok then, cause we sure don't have a voice that's heard anymore.
MSNBC could have a bit of a backbone as well,...but as usual, it's corporate america that dictates what freedom of speech really means.Comment

My anger is against political correctness in all its forms, sure the corporation has a right to fire him, but that should be their decision to make not the decision of some hypocritical n*ggers protesting out in front of his job. Imus even went on Al Sharptons show to apologize and they treated him like some "n*gger slave from the south". I dont even like Don Imus but man is this dude taking a virtual gang beating for saying something completely harmless.

You are right. The Slaughterhouse cases from the 1860s did hold (still valid today) that the US Constitution protects only against STATE (ie., government) action.People confuse the constitutional right of "Freedom of Speech" with employers being able to fire you for wiping your ass the wrong way. You aren't protected from someone firing you for saying something by the constitution, you're protected from the government passing laws against your right to free speech.

When you look at a picture of Imus isn't it kind of funny him calling someone else nappy headed... What's up with his doo.
On another note, his show is so fuckin' boring that this situation was a gift to MSNBC.Comment
