Is there a page somewhere that explains the scoring system you're using? 168 is actually more than I thought the maximum possible score was.....

Yes, it's in there somewhere. :D

It's a weighted pool, so you not only pick the winners (against the spread) but you "weight" each pick (either 1-14 or 1-16, depending on how many games there are that week)

Then, each winning game you pick scores you 2 pts x the weight you chose, thus if you picked Green Bay this past Monday and weighted your pick at 14, you would have scored 2 x 14 = 28 points.

Maximum you can score on a 14 game week is actually quite a bit higher than 168.

302 is the maximum with 16 games

I like this way of playing, it makes it even more difficult as you weigh your "confidence" with each pick. Btw, the max. score for a week is 272 I believe.

Is that for a 14 or 16 game week?

Btw, there is a mistake in my first post here. It says "picks for week 2 are about to start"..... that should read as week 5 of course :D

In fact, picks for week 5 can be made now.

It's the 2 points for the win that caught me out, I thought it was a straight 14+13+12+11 etc

No one has specifically said that joining Pussycash was a prerequisite for the pool...... but why wouldn't anyone want to promote such an incredible program? :D

All pool members should be promoting the program, but no, I don't believe it's an absolute requirement.
