I'll stick with my g35 thank you! ;)
A money pit???
So you own a used G35?
Because the only thing you pay for with BMW is the gas, and tires. Eveything else (all service, oil changes, brakes) is covered under warranty.Comment

It was at the beginning.I took weeks to get used to the smg.And still after over 2 years of driving it happens from time to time.In my opinion, the smg system is way to touchy.Originally posted by kacyYea, I did the same thing and feel the same way. Some days I hate that car! LOL

The m3 has some problems like that when its got low miles on it.. if yours is a 2004 or 2005, you need to go to the dealership and get the SMG reprogrammed.. People will seriously think you cant drive when it starts jerking for no reason.Originally posted by kacyYea, I did the same thing and feel the same way. Some days I hate that car! LOL

and as Bimini said, the only things you need to take care of are the tires and the oil.. the tires on my m3 are starting to go, just like they told me they would, around 10k miles.. Can hear loud grinding when turningComment

Auto on the m3 is crazy, you almost have to drive SMG or paddles always. Couple months ago I put in aftermarket touchscreen navigation and it interfaces with my ipod.. it's sick!Originally posted by MinteIt was at the beginning.I took weeks to get used to the smg.And still after over 2 years of driving it happens from time to time.In my opinion, the smg system is way to touchy.

It can, but I never told the guys during installation that I wanted that (i assumed they would of done it, but they needed an Ok from me)Originally posted by emthreeSweet, does it retain useage of the OEM Steering controls too?
So It does yeah, but mine doesnt have it.. I got use to the deck anyways, you just touch anything you need, so you really would never use the steering controls for other then volume.Comment

Absolutely! I feel lucky to have gotten 18K miles out of my first set of tires.
And at $275 for the back and $225 for the front, it aint cheap! But at least we aren't paying for all the other stuff which isn't cheap on BMW's.
Still a great car that I enjoy everytime I get behind the wheel.
