If you are willing to drive to northern cal above San Fran.. there is a place along the beach that is right by "fern canyon"..i think its called golden beach..when the fog rolls in it makes the place totally magical.(lots of roosevelt elk too)
not far from there is the "avenue of giants"..where they filmed part of a star wars movie... I could get lost in that place..literally. You expect to see fairies and nymphs pop up from behind the huge ferns.
If you are ever up this ways.. would love to take you on a hike and photograph..its been my passion.

Awesome pics in here!! I wish I had my pics from my travels on a digi cam as scanning them all would be a pain in my ass right now but I"ll see what I can find!
