Al-Qaida has become irrelevant: Did you notice?

Anybody else besides me notice that Al-Qaida is basically irrelevant now in the "fight against terror". US forces are fighting a "Sunni" insurgency but they are constantly engaged in battle with Shiite malitia while trying to stop the Taliban and not doing much fighting with Al-qaida at all.

Uh?....Didn't Al-Qaida start all this. Wasn't the war on terror susposed to get rid of Al-Qaida?

The US is fighting everyone else except Al-Qaida.
