    Need Laptop advice please!

    I want an all black thin laptop that has at least a 3.0 or more GHz at least a 17" wide screen. I don't want the IBM ThinkPad and I can't find an all black one on Dell or on Compaq.

    Does anyone know of one that doesn't cost thousands of $$$? I am not a designer or a programmer so I don't need to spend a shit load of money on laptop. Right now I have a 2.8 GHz with 1GB of ram and a 15" wide but it is a HUGE Compaq Pesario R3000 that is silver. boo

    Any suggestion would be soooooo loved!

                  I think HP laptops are black now.. the case is anyways. The battery life is like 2 hours though on those power machines..

                                              I know it's a computer, but the IBM ThinkPad looks so freakin awesome. I just love the way that thing looks, but I hear they are super delicate and I am not a super delicate person so I don't think the pad would work with me.

                                                              It is pretty but I don't want to spend 3k on a laptop. I am getting a new desk top and laptop and I am not computer literate enough to spend that much on a laptop. There is no need for that type of power, for me.
