        Then think about how that might effect the results. It doesnt take much to find articles about how men at war are far more likely to use hookers.

        Not to mention who the fuck pays for sex when hitting the bar at 1:30am will land you some chick thats probably better looking then most hookers and almost guarranteed to be cleaner, where you would at least be the first fuck of the night. Casual sex is something that didnt happen back then that does now, and thats really been the last several years only too, and I suspect will only become more common here.

            You are right about the sampling from the study, I just skimmed over that and didn't really read it in-depth.

            Some people have told me they prefer hookers because they don't want to talk anyone, with a hooker it's more of a business transaction plus there's no chance of rejection.

            Plus with a hooker, it's ALL about the customer, the customer doesn't have to give a damn about the hooker. With a girl he picks up with the bar he would probably have to be a bit more charming and polite and a lot of people probably don't want to deal with that. With the hooker it's all about the customer's pleasure.

            Plus some people probably prefer hookers over an easy lay because they have more power with the hooker, they can tell her what to do etc...

            And some people might like the thrill with a hooker cause they are also dodging police, stings, so the thought of doing something illegal might appeal to them, it might give them an adrenaline rush they wouldn't get from a one night stand from the bar. It's like a game, to see if they can negotiate the price down as much as possible and not get caught by vice.

            Don't you think I kind of have a point though? These are all reasons why some people might prefer hookers over easy one night stands/free sex. I think because of these factors which I listed above people might still prefer whores over free sex.

                Stats could be very different today due to the fact that there were much larger numbers of men in armed forces, whom are notorious for fucking hookers.

                                    Your still talking a much smaller percentile then you think.
                                    I live in a city of just over a million, at 10% using hookers thats 100,000 people have had sex with 800 registered hookers/escorts.
                                    So maybe what even 2000 total hookers/escorts.

                                    Thats alot of people using hookers. I would say the real number is 5% or less use hookers.

I wish there was a scientific study done with concrete numbers about how often this happens. I would be very interested to know the results, cause a few people in this thread have already said they also engaged in similar behavior.

                                                                                        Ok, I went back and tallied up all the answers and divided it between "yes" and "no's"

                                                                                        For guys who said stuff like "Yes, I went to a strip club and it turned into a gangbang" I counted that as ONE yes vote, because I don't know how many people there were etc

                                                                                        Plus I also counted in people who said they had a friend who fucked a whore at their bachelor party as one vote per poster...

                                                                                        I only counted no's when the guys specifically stated no. When they just argued that it doesn't happen as much as I think, but if they didn't specify that they themselves never participated in, I wasn't able to count it.

                                                                                        So then I got 5 definite "yes's" and 6 definite "no's"

                                                                                        So, it's almost 50/50, it's not just ONE person that is validating what I think, as you say. It's half/half so far.
