I applaud Smokey, the stocks shares theory guy, and others that recognize Youtube has nothing to do with videos, but rather resource conglomeration, and media consolidation- it's an entirely different model.. that i suspect will begin to reveal itself shortly, and long into the future.

Actually I think it has more to do with the 'big guys' battling out the video/cable/tv show/advertising model.
If you follow what's been going on lately, and Yahoo launching their '9' network. It's a matter of time before either Yahoo, or Google, perfects the way to do video and build in a profitable way to deliver advertising via video, and 5/10/15 second adverts.
This started years ago when Yahoo bought LaunchCast.
This doesn't even get into the Fox/ABC partner announcement the other day having to do with the web, and getting their programs available for d/l via internet.
Right now the race is on for monitizing the advertising on video.
