none of the "sushi" you just named is even really sushi fyi. i'm in tokyo right now and can tell you are missing out on the real deal. even in s.f. a california roll is cheezy.

yeah I know, Im always going to Dusseldorf, biggest Jap community outside Japan, they have the real sushi there, stuff you never see anywhere else.

Im a sucker for Unagi, the eal sushi.

our client took us out for a $1000 sushi dinner here tonight and it was un-fucking-believable- no unagi here- anago the saltwater eal - very light and delicious. we went to a hole in the wall and had a $50 dinner the night before after getting in and that was also incredible. i'm not sure why the fish is that much better here but it is a real treat. i could a eat a bucket of maguro and toro. some of the crazy stuff here i have just given up asking what it is and eat it anyway

sushi definitely does rule

i like in-n-out burgers a lot too though...

Just had sushi yesterday actually, got some yellow tail, tuna, salmon, and 4 differnt kinds of rolls, i love when people say they eat sushi and when I ask them what they eat they tell me california rolls. Thats FAKE sushi. Ill post the pics later on

anago is cool too, I prefer unagi and its easy to spend a LOT on that yes. The really small ones are like 10 bucks each, if youre going for sashimi you can spend a fortune.

I dont know why I like it that much, its the sweet taste I think. Did they put sauce over it as well? They do that in one place we eat sushi, like a kinda sweet syrup, almost sugarsyrup.
