Are you sure that using Paypal is a good idea. They just shut down the one for Katrina victims. I would not trust those fucks.

Why on earth did they shut down for Katrina victims? I've been offline a while, so I'm clueless?

I've been using them for Ebay for over a year with no probs, and since it was a donation issue, I felt no probs. Her mom didn't want to have to handle mail and individual stuff so I thought it was the best way to go...if you know of a better, let me know ( now that I've spent all the time to set it up...Grrrrr )

Paypal is absolutely, positively the WORST thing that you could use for this. Once they realize she was in the adult industry, it's all seized money. Your suggestion of me putting it on Julie's site that I have done with her for a few years now, the http://www.xxxjulierobbins.com one, is a noble one, but I would never, EVER, in MILLION years put PAYPAL on an adult site. Especially when I want to know the monies won't be seized by the jerks @ PayPal, so that the money can actually get into a trust fund.

I am sure that you're aware of PayPal's disdain for adult stuff...

Julie came to me last year wanting to redo her site and we developed JulieRobbins.net together. She had told me that the other site would fall off once this one took off, but Brad says he was unaware of that. Julie was actively promoting JulieRobbins.net on her radio interviews, in the clubs she featured in,etc. She was very excited about the site saying it truly reflected who she was in this industry and as she said "was just so pretty" , she couldn't wait for everyone to see it.

Her mother wants me to keep her site up in memory and in honor of her, so I will do so.

Brad and I spoke on the phone and I know that he worked with her over the last 3 years and it is a huge loss to us both.

I'll look into something other than paypal, but I'm basically just doing what her mother has asked me to do, but will mention when I see her again tomorrow and will research other ways to take donations online that will be easily accessible for them.

Not to dispute what Ivy said...but Julie's site that I did was her official site, and she and I worked together very closely on it. Ivy's just came online early this year, and was very recently made "joinable". Mine is unjoinable now out of respect to Julie for another week, and will be redesigned to be more of a memorial, etc.

Ironically, about 2 years ago I introduced Ivy and Julie via e-mail, even though they were "neighbors".

No "pissing match" here, but I wanted to set the record straight here from my end, as Julie and I were very close, and the site I have actually had online for 3 years reflected that, and was always updated with her tour dates to feature dance, etc.

It is down now, and will stay as such - sadly, that is per Julie's wishes from a conversation she and I had about 6 weeks ago on this very subject, when another girl whose site I ran passed away earlier in the year.

Julie and I spoke at length about exactly what she wanted done, should something tragic like this ever happen. it is just horrible, HORRIBLE that it was less than six weeks after we had discussed it.

I want to clarify - her site will be down until October 1st...not permanently. Some downtime, as there's SO much traffic to it, and I think it is not right to use "curious browsers" to possibly get signups at this time. That was what I did with the Britney Madison website...a suggestion from Julie, as a matter of fact.

Ok...enough sadness or even business talk for the moment, as I know Julie would not want it that way. Her site with me just went live last month, so any business talk now would be totally useless as only Julie knew what she desired and what the future held for her in this business.

I decided to post a pic, in honor and in memory of my friend and partner, whom I will miss . Julie was so very different in person than she was on camera in her movies or even pics. She was so very full of life, always joking and laughing and we especially loved taking candid and crazy pics. So in tribute to her, I'm having a drink tonight and here are a few more candid photos of my beautiful friend.

May she never be forgotten.....
