Well, it looks like Microsoft is looking to take more of our money with this new version of the 360. It looks pretty kick ass in black, it has a 120-gig hard drive, HDMI support, and it runs cooler/quieter with a retail of $479.
What happend to the good old days of consoles where you'd buy a system and it'd last you a few years. What the hell are Microsoft gonna do next, upgrade the processor and graphics engine ??
It's kinda stupid in a way though how they're pushing the price up towards the price of a PS3. When you compare the 360 Elite with the PS3 and the $20 price difference, the PS3 is definately the better deal. If they were smart, they would've put the HD DVD drive on it.

Well let's see
"Unfortunately, Microsoft will not include an HD DVD drive or built-in Wi-Fi."
HD-DVD $200 wi-fi $100. Total cost $779. PS3 with blu-ray and wi-fi. $600. Sure that new 360 has 120 GB HDD, but I can go to wal-mart and buy an 120 GB notebook drive for $140.
