The contest is open to anybody who wants a piece of the $800 pie. We've spent quite a lot more on the project to date...we're just in need of some fresh ideas. If you're not down with the contest then that's cool too. No drama intended or needed

Interesting...maybe we could try some more illustration-style designs just for kicks? As mentioned we're not a big fan of the old-school porn tour graphics that have been photoshop'd to death but i'm always open to fresh styles.
I'm still holding out for a simple, text-based logo but the name is so short and obvious..it make things kind of hard to be original. If you're stumped with the simple direction maybe try one of these styles if you want:

If you take a stab at the illustration style, we prefer one color or at least no overkill on the shading/blending, easy to recognize right away...nothing that takes too much thinking to figure out what the words say.

Don't engage this guy...a couple of good ideas have came from this contest already. We're not asking anybody to design our site for a $600 prize...we're just looking for the widest variety of ideas in the shortest amount of time as possible. Even if we don't end up using one from the GFY contest somebody here wins the dough.
We've hired several of the best designers who are very popular on this board (you know who you are
) and even they have shot blanks on the logo. Professional courtesy keeps me from mentioning their name but they weren't cheap in the least. In fact, several of the orginal trademarks I mentioned in the contest specs use them for their design. Props!
Anyhow, keep the ideas coming..we appreciate the input of everybody who's submitted so far.Comment
