Party in Ottawa

So here is what we are thinking.
We have a gathering here in Ottawa Canada in the trendy byward market area at one of the better clubs with a live band.
Something without a heavy dance beat all night so we can mingle talk and do some business as well as party.
I can get a good deal with a hotel nearby and pending on the crowd get the v.i.p. area or the whole club if needed.
I have talked to several that would help us sponsor this event and it would include a sponsored bar, a wet-tshirt contest, and maybe a best male for the ladies.
We have had several people say they would sponsor door prizes etc
we could also get a suite for a content shoot in the afternoon or something if there was enough interest. This would be held to thank all the support we got durring our hometown troubles (see article) http://www.avnonline.com/index.php?P...tent_ID=240963

The question is will anyone attend if we hold it here.

Kingston is a bit too far to haul hourly models, but I will certainly keep it in mind should the opportunity arise. We are considering a road trip to Ottawa soon, to shoot 2 or 3 girls, and need something there.

btw- my vote is for a November event. It's hard to get people to travel during unreliable weather.

It was still there when i went to school there.. Has cheap shots at certain times.. Never busy, just kind of a transition place, people go have some cheap shots and go to the other places.

Lounge 426 is the place you would want too have ... perfect for a webmaster meeting ... classiest bar arround.

You got a side with a dancefloor and the other side is a lounge .

Or we could do it a Pigales ... (strip club). I'm sure you could book a side of the clubs. The club got REALLY better in the last year. Lots of money put in it.

it was renamed, but i dont remember what to. Another place that had 1 dollar shots trying to bring people to it, but failed.

All the university kids want to go to the Cabin, On Tap and those type places now.. There is this really cool place on the campus of Ottawa U, father and Sons I think. .I wish i discovered it earlier, found out about it third year ugh.

That wasn't directed at you personally :-)
It was more to point out how so many webmaster events & promos seem geared to horny teenage boys, rather than to professionals of either gender.

From webmaster parties with 'full service' to free webcam shows for affiliates, sometimes us girls feel excluded and unacknowledged as industry peers.

I will be visiting several clubs Friday and saturday of this week. to meet with the owners, and see what can be done.
If what I have in mind this one will rock.
hope you all appreciate the abuse my liver will take for us all !
I will be meeting with several hotel managers as well and will get a deal on something nice nearby at a decent price.
we may already have a band booked too !

Dr Dre no offence intended on Pigales it is a very nice club just not what I have in mind this time.
