It is best to avoid jetlag altogether and just drink heavily on the flight. Hangovers over-ride jetlag. But, since we are now talking about corrective rather than preventative maintenance, pull an all nighter - dayer. If you wake at 2pm, stay up through the next night.. at least till like 9pm and you'll sleep well and will be back on track.

When I travel to different time zones, which is about once a month...upon coming home, I try to stay awake until my normal bedtime .....it takes a few days and I drink a lot of orange juice and water....other than that....time.

try this, it works wonders for me:
get melatonin (the liquid kind that you spray UNDER your tongue(tell 'em to give you a sublingual kind). after getting home and 30 mins before your (somewhat)regular bedtime, use the spray as indicated in the instructions. You'll sleep like a baby and should wake up refreshed the next morning.
