I've driven both and I feel more in control with manual but it's not everyone's cup of tea. I don't even think about gear shifting anymore, don't see why anyone would see it as big deal.

also rush hour downtown in a large city (vancouver is a bad one for a smaller population)... have fun with your manual car.. god that gets annoying stop..go...stop...go.... i used to drive a mustang GT and it was a son of a bitch downtown especially in the god damn summer when it's 38 degrees out...
but yeah honestly I would rather drive a standard.. for most every day driving and stick for fun/sports cars.

I drove cars with all kinds of transmissions and in my opinion nothing beats manual. Some of the others might shift faster, but when it comes to fun factor manual rules.
