So if an affiliate asks you for passwords to your site, what is your policy?

HAHAHA LAWDS MERCY!

So I asked 2 separate programs for access to one of their breeder sites today so that I can do reviews of them for a section of my new blog (eventually I will outsource this muck-a-muck but I wanted to do the first few myself to decide on a format for the reviews that I think works well with the site).

One of them said:

SURE we're happy to have you as a new affiliate and here's a login and password good for a month. Is there anything else that you need?

That made my blubbercunt moist.

The second said:

No we only give out passwords to affiliates that have already sent us sales. Maybe later you'll get one.

That made my elbow itch.

Now, honestly, I'm being 100% truths for real here, I was not looking for free pictures and movies of teh vaginas to jack off to. I really am looking to do reviews for my new breeders blog.

I know whenever an affiliate asks us for a password to our sites, we hand them out no problem. What's the big deal? Sure maybe 1 out of 10 is just looking to get his rocks off, but we loose out on what? $29.95? Small price to pay for the other 9 who are actually planning to promote us.

Of course, maybe I'm just being cheap faggot and should have just signed up for the sites and not bothered with the free password muck-a-muck. My thinking though, is if we're doing like 1 a day, why spend the extra monies each month?

Fags should not have to pay for access to teh vaginas......

Well......... im an affiliate so i should get to have a look at the site and see the content (and jerk off to it). Obviously there is an element of "I am a professional and I need to examine your content" but there is also an element of "hell, if i can jerk to it, why not?".

I would be too afraid and embarassed to ask for a pass unless I sent sales first. And I would try to send as many as I could before I dared ask for a pass, I'm just self-conscious and "timid" like that.

One program made it seem like I wanted the pass for myself or something, they asked me what was wrong with the content with the content in the webmaster area. I just felt so frustrated that I could not even explain why I needed the pass from the members. It was because they had certain girls which I could identify and I needed that in order to submit to certain sites. I just got so upset I couldn't even explain it because I felt like I was being accused of something.

Sometimes I just get so upset and can't deal with people so I was like forget it and I don't promote them anymore.

Programs like Naughty America and Vivid gave me a pass so no problem so I continue to promote them all time. They are great!

I give them out even if I feel they just want to spank it. As long as I at least heard of you as a webmaster you will get a password. It is like big whopty doo I am going to miss out on a whole 30.00 plus a little bandwidth.

I occasionally ask for passwords, I've never had a flat "no" but I've usually had an email enquiring about how I'm going to use the content. I don't mind providing enough detail to prove that I'm a bona fide webmaster.

I run a review site myself and i found that all the sponsers i asked hooked me up with at least a one week pass....

Nscash, Braincash, Premiumcash, Sparklecash, Jaymancash, Nichewealth... just to name a few..

and i didnt have sales with any of them at the time...

I dont see why sponsers wouldnt give out at least a 1 week full access pass...

One time and affiliate rep told me that they only gave members area access to webmasters sending over 150 sales every two week (300 sales a month).

I think you should have to be an established affiliate or have sent at least some traffic or sales. Some surfers try to scam passwords this way, can't be handing them out to just anyone.

You know if you are going to support a site you damn sure better when reviewing content be inspired to wank or the site is not worth promoting in the first place. Give your new affiliates a pass until they get what "THEY" feel they need to promote you to the best of their ability. It is simply good business ethic to help someone help you ... D'oh

I have never asked for a password. I have had passwords supplied after signing up with out requesting them from 2 sponsers. But now I may since it does make a difference knowing a program you are promoting.

I did notice one program that on the programs webmasters section, the recent news says they emailed out this weeks FHG links. I hadnt received the links so emailed and asked and the response is after you send sales you will start receiving the updates emails.

Got to make sales before gettign the most recent FHG links to promote..

We don't have any problem giving out passes to our site, it makes sense for a revshare affiliate to make sure that the site is going to retain their traffic.

As an affiliate, for my review site, I've only ever had one flat out no from a sponsor. The majority of sponsors are more than happy to help me out, although there is a percentage that just never gets back to me.

makes sense to me that programs would give out a pass for affiliates that would ask for one, or a webmaster doing a review/blogpost about the program. it definitely helps to get your program promoted properly.

if you've got a lot of content that could be downloaded, the pass can certainly be live for a limited time.

After asking for passwords for the last 5 years to review sites, I've only found a vew few programs who officially refused, and I'll be HAPPY to list them below fo r you all. We obviously "make sales" so why they refuse us is questionable at best.. I can remember... Max Cash.. Sunny Dollars..

SIC Cash let us review their sites back in the day, and then told us "our members don't rebill" and blamed that on US! That was a big shocker when I got that e-mail.. You'd think maybe it was their sites? They cut our account after making a few thousand dollars with them, we were paid in full, but they wouldn't pay us going forward.

I honestly dont blame them for not giving you one if you havent sent any sales or they dont know who you are. Im sure its probably a popular trick amoung people looking for free accounts.

However, if you said "this is my site, here is what I plan to do, etc" but havent sent any sales, then I would understand and would hand one out, but if you just send a 3 line email requesting one and they dont know who you are from just another guy trying to wack off for free.

BUT... ive asked affiliates for logins and have been told "no, we dont give out logins" while others are more than happy to help.

Yes, more than this particular situation, I was just wondering what most people have experienced as to this.

This was the first time I've asked for logins, so it's never been an issue to me.

And like I said, we've always just handed them out when people asked and I never thought anything of it........

jeeze if your worried about an affiliate with a password you run program that is a bit on the paranoid side.. takes money to make money... id rather have an affiliate with a pw than a hacker... so affiliates are always welcome to passwords to our stuff

i give them if they are a reputable affiliate. its not that hard to know who is who. most people alreayd have references ready. or if theyre honest and just wanna spank it, why not. i got a sixth sense for spotting a surfmeister in disguise.
