I did a few years ago justsexxx. The US then had much to offer, tho at that time it was a lifestyle thing and lived in Florida - the Gulf Coast there is damned nice!

After some time and meeting with friends there, it became clear all was not well. I learned a lot from these folks - they were mainly in law enforcement or law related at some level - and it was clear the rot was setting in and messing up that nice place so we moved out.

Now, there is no way we'd want to be based in US territory, - the country and people are nice, but the background is.. well.. gotta be the worst of any western nation. Hopefully sense with come back one day!

            kind of

I moved from the UK to Canada.. which is still part of North America

Personally I prefer Canada, but I must admit after almost 7 years away from England I'm starting to get homesick and would love to take a trip back sometime soon (not to live there again though, oh no)

Odd that many people who move out rarely consider moving back to live in their home country! I keep asking myself, what would I want to do that for?

Eventhough I'm not a big fan of the people from the netherlands (jealousy and stuff) I would never move. The USA? Naaah.

I like the US but I feel more like this is home than England is. I was 14 when we moved here though so I went to high school here and couldn't really say, "No. I want to stay here in England." and have been able to stay. I guess after living here for 26 years I should apply to be a citizen.

I'm not so sure I would move to this country now...but I was brought to the US as a child, so I don't know any other real life...other than what my parents and grandparents told me about Russia.....and I must admit that the US then was better than Russia was.

Until recently, I would not consider moving from the US. I still love my adopted country; but, I do not like what is happening these days.

I came here in 1998 at age 21 lost in the heady dreamworld of love. We got married, moved back to England for 3 months and then moved back to Canada cos my new family just couldn't take the air there (step-daughter developed wickedly bad asthma after attending the local school where they still used coal for fuel)

Even if I hadn't arrived that way, I'm fairly sure I would've ended up on this continent anyway - my mother was born and raised in Canada and I always had a strong desire to come over to Canada or the USA and see what I could make for myself here. I just got here faster than I figured I would.

I lived in the US during my high school years and loved it. If it wasn't for the crack-down on porn, I'd definately want to move back. Maybe if they stop voting prude psychotics into the White House and become a little more liberal with shit, I'll move back. I'd love to move to Canada right now though.

Honestly, it's sort of embarrassing to be an American. But, don't blame all of us, we're all not the morons that you see on TV. I shake my head in disbelief almost every day from what I see here. It's so fucking out of control here, some people really need to be slapped silly.
