What I noticed over the years is that some sponsors went from counting 1st page raws over 1st page uniques to finally counting 2nd page uniques. I wonder why
It's amazing how sponsors count clicks differently anyway. Some sponsors seem to count every single raw click (even if you e.g. click a link to another site in their exit console) while others count 2nd page uniques network wide, i.e. if you visit 10 of their paysites, only one click is counted and only if you actually went to the 2nd page of at least one site.
IMHO there are still way too many people that just look at the ratios provided by the sponsors and as long as this is the case you will see this 'creative click counting' more and more
