Do you have an alternative domain to let affiliates and members use?
Its a novel idea but I do not think you are going to pull a booble.

Protect your affiliates traffic and your members base.

so i can answer this once and for all, yes its risky, but no more risky than a lot of other similar projects, I have done a lot of work in this and researched the risk. I am not a complete moron. so please enjoy or not enjoy, and of course I have similar domains, and if you really think about it, wouldn't the publicity of some action really help? of course it would.
