btw this is also google's opinion as well in regards to the viacom lawsuit recently between viacom vs youtube/google

their position is as long as you follow dmca notices you are compliant irregardless of the fact they have copright material on their website they dont hold copyrights to.

Its kind of a tricky situation..

if google loses i see this as an end to user uploaded content that isnt hand reviewed, if google wins i see this as the end to all copyriht material rights to this point
