I dont uderstand why a reasonably quick death is seen as "what they deserve".
Fucking keep them in a pitch black cell with no sound or other stimulation. Feed, water and medicate them just enough to keep them alive as long as possible. Force feed them if needed. Most people would live many, many years with the proper "care".
I think this is the anwser to the whole death sentance debate as well.Comment

If so, ok, he deserves it, but it's nor our place nor job to enact punishment of this type. He would have rotted in jail his entire life and suffered with what he did. Now it's over and easy. Like those dudes who killed him actually care what his crime was. They just wanted an excuse to murder someone.
That's just brutal. taking his head off. Anyone ever thought maybe he was innocent? Nobody knows. maybe his brother or someone else raped the child and he got the blame????
I'm not defending what he did (if he did do it) but where do we come of in society where we decide who lives or dies and who's to say he was actually guilty.
That's the shitty thing about shit like this (including death sentences) is that, most times, the people are either innocent or the crime does not justify the punishment.Comment

That could have well have been an innocent person brutalized - the people behind Ogrish really don't care, they just want to make bank by peddling sick and disturbing imagery. If they can try to create a story that somehow attempts to justify such displays and whips people into a savage frenzy, they see this as good for the recruiting of more morbid curious rubber-necking spectators.
I find it difficult to understand why people would want to fill their minds with such disturbing images. People who are real heroes, such as firemen and paramedics, become so traumatized by some of their real life experiences trying to deal with the death and destruction that they see, that they are forced to seek counseling and sometimes quit their professions because of their firsthand experiences with death and grotesque scenes.
Given the choice I would rather look at postive and uplifting imagery any day. If you really feel that looking at such imagery is a good thing (whatever the circumstances of how the imagery came about), then you may need to examine your moral compass.

I too have clicked on Ogrish a few times in the past due to sensational or misleading hype, hence I know what to expect there. Since I know what they are about, I choose not to go there because it conflicts with my own sense of decency. I don't need to see graphic details of a lynching to know how I feel about baby rapists or people who justify their own misdeeds.
The feelings that you expressed in your post indeed show that your moral compass is in a generally good state.
