    Carol Burnett sues Fox over Family Guy

    "LOS ANGELES - Carol Burnett has filed a $2 million copyright infringement lawsuit against 20th Century Fox, claiming her cleaning woman character was portrayed on the animated series "Family Guy." The U.S. District Court lawsuit, which was filed Thursday, said the Fox show didn't have the 73-year-old comedian's permission to include her cleaning woman character, Charwoman, in an April 2006 episode."

    Now I used to watch her show as a kid and I know for a fact she parodied lots of TV shows and movies of the day. How is this different?

      it's not any different - guess she's just grown into a crabby old lady with nothing better to do than sue people. she's one of those celebs who totally disappeared when she retired. like johnny carson, never saw him again except i think he did 60 Minutes once after he retired.

              She needs to get a life. Parody, especially the type of stuff done on the Family Guy, is so over the top and off the wall that nobody would mistake it for reality. She needs to understand that her show and her characters are a part of TV history, and are subject to the standard rules of ridicule and humor.

              I am feeling this may be a desperate plea for attention by someone who's very prolonged 15 minutes finished about two face lifts ago.

                  actually RawAlex, Burnett was/is a brilliant comedian, one of the best of her day. This seems out of character, but people sometimes get strange when they get old...

                          if they used her cartoon from the beginning of her show which is probably trademarked or copyrighted then they should pay her....if they just made fun of carol burnett the person and drew her as a cartoon i think she is being lame
