Laetrile - cure for cancer?

Does anyone had or know someone who had experience with Vitamin B-17 also known as Laetrile?

It is know to be only selective therapy for treating cancer...

They've been experimenting with this since the late 70's, and it still hasn't really been clinically proven. Steve McQueen made a lot of headlines back in the day, moving to Mexico for treatment with Laetrile. Didn't seem to do him much good, but then again he had pretty advanced lung cancer.

Yes, I've heard of this and done some reading about it in the last few months.

In my opinion, saying that cancer is the result of vitamin or nutritional deficiency, is stupid. However, if you (or someone you dearly love) have a terminal diagnosis, you'll take/try just about anything.

Funny you mention that. There was an episode of Law and Order about 11 years ago, where Briscoe and Logan exposed a quack doctor treating breast cancer patients with that substance.

It has nothing to do with vitamin deficiencies. It has to do with the curing abilities of natural enzymes. Fruits and vegetables have living enzymes in them which aid in the curing of the body, especially at high doses. There have not been any large scale studies of the curing abilities of anything natural from both the medical community or the FDA because it simply would not be profitable. There is way to much money being made all around the board with the current useless treatments. It amazes me that people somehow feel that nature cannot cure and man can.

As I was able to understand, this is (possibly) only selective therapy that exists.
Did you find chemotherapy effective after damaging your whole organism?!
What I was worried here is Cyanide (HCN) poisoning...
Does anyone know someone who had actually tryied Laetrile on himself?

If you haven't read that book "Natural Cures "They" don't Want You To Know About" pick it up. Don't expect to get any conculsive information on actual cures, that section of the book is most likely worthless and unfounded. However, Kevin Trudeau does bring up a lot of great questions.

Trudeau has been discredited as simply a marketer and a charlatan. Whatever you believe about him, the book is a decent read.

you guys dont even want to get me started on cancer. it's the direct result of nuclear radiation, the tobacco companies got paid off to take the hit, the most major grants in the field are given to schools directly under the DOE's thumb... and so on and so forth. spend some time browsing through the national cancer research assoc's files and formulate your own opinions

This guy was on CNN today on the Paula Zahn show. Kevin Trudeau is the biggest bull Shiter ive ever seen. Any question Paula asked he answered with a question. Saying some BS on how the Govt and drug companies are making people sick.

Kevin Trudeau is a freaken salesman with no medical background and I feel sorry for anyone with a serious medical problem taking this idiot seriously. His book is nothing more than a marketing tool to get people to join his website for info on "Real Cures". This motherfucker is lowest form of human being on earth. He was sued by the FTC selling Coral as a cure for cancer and was told to stop selling any health products and so he is now only allowed to peddle books.

This is the reason why I hate all salesman.. They can smile and lie straight to your face without any sense of morals... its all about the dollar with these snake oil pedlers!
