i am sure nissan offered him a at least a few million. I think they should just send him a certified check for $10 million with a note that if he cashes it, he transfer the domain name and there will be no further lawsuits. That way if they try to trick him into accepting money, they cannot nail him for cybersquating. Unless uzi is worth 100 million dollars or more, any reasable person will accept that offer

My guess is that nissan is being unreasonable here. They probably have lawyers on staff so they could care less about legal costs. I dont know the details, but I am sure that the owner of the domain has some people working pro bono for him. Its a pretty high profile case, I have read about it several times.

A guy named something Nissan owned a computer company called Nissan Computers. He registered www.nissan.com and used it for his computer company. Nissan Car Co. sued him and the court ruled that neither company could use the URL.Comment
